November 2022 Discoverer’s Club Release
This 100% varietal Viognier has lovely notes of tangerine and white peach on the nose. On the palate, the medium-bodied wine has a creamy mouthfeel with wonderful tropical fruit notes of lychee and pineapple.
2020 Barrel Fermented Chardonnay
This barrel-fermented Chardonnay was made from grapes that were grown at various Virginia vineyards. It was made in the Old-World French style with neutral oak but no malo lactic fermentation. It has notes of white flowers and banana on the nose that carry over to the palate, along with lime and white peach, and a silky mouthfeel that is crisp on the finish.
This year’s Adjacency is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Petit Verdot. This wine received slight new French oak treatment, and unfolds on the nose with notes of blackberry, vanilla, and a beautiful earthiness. On the palate, notes of cranberry are tempered by juicy blackberry, leading to a full, lingering finish.
Classic aromas of black currant and plum burst from the glass, followed by hints of smoke and vanilla. This combination unfolds on the palate as well, with medium body and medium plus acidity. Pair this with blackened chicken or grilled vegetables.
