Guest Experience

Delaplane Cellars is offering outdoor seating along with continuing curbside pickup.

Safety remains our priority, and Delaplane Cellars is following all recommended CDC and Commonwealth Guidelines to ensure safety for both our employees and guests.

When planning your visit to Delaplane Cellars, please review our policies and procedures below.

The Basics

Delaplane Cellars is currently offering outdoor seating only. Our lower deck is covered by an open tent. Our upper deck has several gas fire-pits and umbrellas. There is no guarantee which area you will be seated at, seating is assigned the day of and based on table reservations. You can request certain seating or accommodations when booking your reservation, we will do our best to fulfill those requests.

21+ and Groups
As a reminder, Delaplane Cellars is a 21-and-over winery.

Our standard table reservations accommodate groups up to 6 people. We can accommodate one group of up to 10 people at each seating block. We cannot accommodate groups larger than 10 people. If you would like to have a larger group party, please contact us and speak to a manager about booking one of our private spaces.

If your desired table size is not available during your preferred day and time block, please do not book multiple table reservations for your party, as we cannot combine tables to make a larger table.

We do not accept walk-ins for groups larger than 6 people. If you plan to visit us with more than 6 people, please make a reservation prior to visiting us.

We are now offering self-pour tastings at your table. Our tastings are pre-set and included 4 wines (usually 2 whites and 2 reds) for $10. Tastings can only be served on our deck or patio areas, we are not able to serve tastings in our grass or picnic areas.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own food/picnics. We do have a charcuterie platter with cheese, sausage, olives, olive oil, chutney, and warm cellar bread available for purchase.

Delaplane Cellars is open Monday thru Thursday from 11 am to 5 pm and Friday
from 11 am to 6 pm. Seating during these times will be on a first come, first served basis.

Saturday and Sunday hours are from 11 am to 6 pm with reservations encouraged, but we are happy to accommodate walk-ins when seating is available.

When we have speical events, Delaplane Cellars will close at 3:30 pm, however, these days will be noted on our Facebook, Google Business, and Apple Maps pages.

Seating is limited and reservations for Saturday and Sunday are strongly recommended. Walk-ins will be accommodated upon table availability.

Seatings are in three (3) blocks:
11 am to 1 pm, 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm and 4 pm to 6 pm.

Our grass and picnic table areas are first come, first served every day and do not require a reservation.

Waitlist: Our reservation site does allow you to join a waitlist if the seating block is full. When you join this waitlist, this does not guarantee you a table. Unless you are contacted by someone from our staff, please assume that a table did not open up and we are unable to provide you a reservation for your requested time.

Table Guarantee: If someone from you party is not here 45 minutes past your reservation time, we reserve the right to open up your table to other guests.

To help ensure every guest has a great experience, we kindly ask that you vacate your table promptly at the end of your time block. If you would like to stay and continue your enjoyment past your block, we will try to accommodate requests depending on availability.

Other Policies to Remember

Outside Wine, Beer and Alcohol:
Under no circumstances are you allowed to consume any other wine, beer, or alcohol while on Delaplane Cellars property. Not only is it against our policy, it is also against Virginia law.

Our Tasting Room and outdoor patios and decks are kid-free areas. Children are welcome at our picnic tables located in our grass areas.

We love our furry friends at Delaplane Cellars. But, to be considerate of our other guests, dogs are not allowed inside our Tasting Room or on our decks or patios. Dogs are allowed on property, only if they are kept on leash. We have outdoor picnic tables that are located around the vineyard, which are great areas for you to hang out with your favorite four-footed friends!
