A Delightful Summer Brunch at Delaplane Cellars

We had an incredible time at our Summer Food & Wine Experience on July 13th! Chef Kesha Harris crafted a delicious brunch that our guests thoroughly enjoyed, featuring a delectable menu with options like Berry Fruit Salad with Honey-Lemon Drizzle, Homemade Deviled Eggs with Candied Salmon, and a classic Croque Monsieur.

The event was a beautiful success, with both indoor and outdoor seating providing stunning views of the vineyard, enhancing the overall experience. The communal tables added to the sense of camaraderie, as guests enjoyed great food, wine, and conversation in a relaxed, elegant setting.

Celebrating the Release of Claire at Delaplane Cellars

This past weekend, we were excited to introduce Claire, our new sparkling rosé, to the Delaplane Cellars community. The release event was a wonderful opportunity to share this special wine with our guests, and we want to thank everyone who came out to join us in Virginia wine country.

The day was set against a cheerful backdrop of pink and lavender, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all who attended. Our team did a fantastic job organizing the event, from the tasting stations to the thoughtful pairings that showcased Claire’s unique character.

Guests enjoyed complimentary tastings of Claire, paired with a macaron from Haute Cakes Pastry Shop and a refreshing gazpacho. The pairings were well-received, and we’re thrilled that many of you appreciated how the flavors worked together. 

A big thank you to our team for making the event run smoothly, and to @hautecakespastryshop for the delicious macarons. Your support helped make this event special.

Announcing Our Summer Sunset Wine Dinners

We are excited to announce our 2022 Summer Sunset Wine Dinner series featuring award-winning chef David Dunlap! Chef Dunlap has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants and has garnered numerous awards for his sensational creations. He specializes in showcasing seasonal and local ingredients in his artful cuisine. As such, the menu for each dinner will be announced closer to the event.

This year, dinners will be hosted inside the tasting room, seated at communal tables. Available dates are:

Saturday, June 25th & Sunday, June 26th

Saturday, July 30th & Sunday, July 31st

Saturday, August 27th & Sunday, August 28th

Saturday, September 24th & Sunday, September 25th

Reservations are required, and the cost is $125 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity. Guests are invited to arrive at 6 pm to enjoy a welcome pour of wine. Dinner will begin at 6:15 pm.

Fall Updates from Delaplane

Hello friends! As we head into the colder months, we wanted to make you aware of some important updates regarding reservations at Delaplane Cellars.

Many of you who visited last winter will recall our heated tent area on the lower deck. We are removing the tent this year, but don't fret! We have exciting things planned for that space. Beginning Saturday, November 13th, our upper deck area will feature firepit tables that can be reserved here.

The upper deck will have some additional seating with outdoor heaters which is available on a first-come, first-served basis. You can make a reservation for a table inside our tasting room for groups of up to six people on Saturdays and Sundays. These reservations are for two-hour time blocks and are available at 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 4 p.m. Please be sure to let us know if anyone in your party has a mobility restriction, as some of our seating is located up a flight of stairs.
